LOCATION - Lat 45°11'28", long 70°28'03" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Franklin County, ME, Hydrologic Unit 01030002, approximately 150 ft northwest of the intersection of State Highway 27 and Eustis Hill Road, Eustis. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Groundwater levels for the periods Oct. 1, 2016 and Dec. 11, 2017 to Feb. 2, 2018, were revised on Sept. 19, 2018. Revisions were needed to fill a gap in the published record on Oct. 1, 2016 and to correct an error with an applied data correction Dec. 11, 2017 through Feb. 2, 2018.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 22.9 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 17.9 ft, bottom of last opening 22.9 ft. Screen slot size 0.008 in. Wash-bored unconfined observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,168.26 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of outer steel casing at file mark, 3.20 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 1, 1985 to Sep. 28, 2016; Top of PVC casing between file marks, 2.08 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 28, 2016 to present. Land-surface datum is at the general land surface.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1985 to September 2000. October 2016 to current year. Records prior to October 1985 have not been published, but are available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
GAGE - Electronic water-level recorder.
REMARKS - Gaps in record indicate missing data. Aquifer: Glacial sand and gravel of Pleistocene age.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 3.84 ft below land-surface datum, July 26, 1996; lowest daily water level, 10.35 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 21, 24-26, 1998.
