LOCATION - Lat 44°08'23", long 70°29'15" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Oxford County, ME, Hydrologic Unit 01040002, on State Route 121, about 0.1 mi east of the intersection with Skeetfield Road, in Oxford. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR ME-82-1: 1981.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 39 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 35 ft, bottom of last opening 39 ft. Cased with 6-in. steel to 35 ft. Screen slot size 0.010 in. Drilled unconfined observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 333.1 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Chisel mark on top of casing, 0 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 25, 1980 to present. Land surface datum is 1.2 ft above the general land surface.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1980 to current year. Prior to Oct. 1989, daily mean data were published every fifth day.
GAGE - Electronic water-level recorder.
REMARKS - Gaps in record indicate missing data. Aquifer: Stratified sand (outwash) of Pleistocene age. Test hole adjacent to this well shows a depth to bedrock of 174 ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily water level, 4.07 ft below land-surface datum, June 3, 1984; lowest daily water level, 10.77 ft below land-surface datum, Feb. 9-10, 2002.
