LOCATION - Lat 43°43'31.19", long 96°43'52.37" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Minnehaha County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10170203, in east ditch off township gravel road 5.5 mi north of Renner, SD, 5.0 mi west of EROS Data Center, or 2.5 mi south of Baltic, SD.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 31.4 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 24 ft, bottom of last opening 29 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,453.37 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: SDWR water level tape data, 2.1 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 22, 1980 to Feb. 10, 2004; Top of well casing, 2.39 ft above land-surface datum, Feb. 9, 2004 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1980 to April 2000 data collected and reported by the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources (SDDENR). Periodic measurements by USGS April 2000 to February 2004. Continuous recorder February 2004-present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder.
REMARKS - For Oct. 1, 2013 to Sept. 30, 2023, records good. Satellite data-collection platform at station. Water levels affected by pumping of nearby wells.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, -0.17 ft below land-surface datum, June 16, 2014. Lowest water level, 10.08 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 6 - 8, 2013.
