LOCATION - Lat 42°28'44.84", long 88°28'53.85" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.12, T.46 N., R.6 E., McHenry County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120006, 112 feet south of Hebron Road in McHenry County Alden Sedge-Bianchin Conservation Area, 0.2 miles west of Nippersink Creek, 1.0 mile west of Johnson Road, 1.1 miles north of Route 173, and 2.6 miles northwest of Hebron. Owner: Illinois State Geological Survey.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 953.64 ft NAVD88 on May 30, 2023, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Land-surface datum was previously published as 949 ft NAVD88 from LiDAR (furnished). Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 30, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 120.6 ft. Upper casing diameter undefined; top of first opening 115.3 ft, bottom of last opening 120.3 ft. Well-casing includes 2-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe, 5.5 in. diameter borehole sealed with benseal grout, observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 953.64 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Black mark on top north side of PVC well casing, 3.0 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 25, 2009 to Jan. 23, 2023; Black mark on top north side of PVC well casing, 3.03 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 23, 2023 to present.
