COOPERATION - Groundwater-level data are collected as part of the National Groundwater Monitoring Network. The Network is a long-term collaborative partnership among Federal and non-Federal data providers that will help address present and future groundwater management questions facing the nation. From 1996 through 2015, water-level data at this site were collected as part of a USGS cooperative study with the Geauga County Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners. The purpose of the water-level study was to determine whether fluctuations in water levels represented consistent, long-term trends caused by human activity or were predominantly the result of seasonal and annual variations in recharge.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Minimum daily low, 11.19 ft below land-surface datum, May 22, 2004; maximum measured low, 14.34 ft below land-surface datum, Nov. 12, 1980.
