LOCATION - Lat 38°58'04", long 74°57'42" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lower Township, Cape May County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040206, on the north bank at the west end of the Cape May Canal.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 250 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 241 ft, bottom of last opening 250 ft. Drilled artesian well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 6 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Front edge of cutout in pvc housing, 2.93 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 1, 1988, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1965 to current year.
GAGE - Submersible logger pressure transducer--60 minute recording interval. Water-level extremes recorder, May 1977 to April 2005. Periodic measurements, August 1975 to May 1977. Water-level recorder, May 1965 to August 1975.
REMARKS - Water level is affected by tidal fluctuation and nearby pumping.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 9.41 ft below land surface datum, between Mar 12 and Jun 30, 2003; lowest, 34.22 ft below land surface datum, Jul 31, 1974.
