LOCATION - Lat 38°37'47.7", long 76°48'26.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Charles County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070011, Cedarville State Forest, near Forest Rd.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Groundwater Unit values in Aquarius for the period June 28, 2019 06:45 to 07:30, were revised on June 4, 2020 because it was discovered that an incorrect Gap Fill Correction was applied during this time. The erroneous Correction was deleted.

GAGE - Maryland Groundwater-Level Monitoring Network observation well. This well is measured monthly.
REMARKS - Water Year 2023-2024: Records good.
Water Year 2021-2022; Records good. Missing data due to equipment malfunction.
Water Year 2010-2020: Records good.
Water-level measurements by U.S. Geological Survey personnel. Equipped with digital water-level recorder from October 2009 to October 2012 and January 2017 to current year. Water levels are affected by natural climatic response. The high water levels from December 1999 through May 2001 are the results of beaver damming nearby Zekiah Swamp Run.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 0.12 ft. below land surface, August 4, 2020 (recorder); lowest measured, 12.50 ft. below land surface, September 27, 2010 (recorder).
