LOCATION - Lat 37°00'52.64", long 76°53'38.67" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Surry County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010202, Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 158.5 ft. Upper casing diameter 2.5 in; top of first opening 138.5 ft, bottom of last opening 158.5 ft. Drilled observation well, screened 138.5 ft to 158.5 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 72 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF SHELF, 1.85 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 30, 2006 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2006 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in Chickahominy-Piney aquifer of Eocene age. Water level affected by regional drawdown.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 131.29 ft below land-surface datum, Apr. 4, 2017; lowest recorded, 143.93 below land-surface datum, Sept. 6, 7, 2009.
