LOCATION - Lat 36°40'33", long 76°56'26" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Franklin City, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010202, at P. D. Camp Community College in Franklin. Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR 2013: Daily maximums/minimums, Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, 2013.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 360 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 350 ft, bottom of last opening 360 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 34 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 1.90 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 29, 2009 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1984 to September 1995, October 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval. Prior to September 1995, occasional measurement with chalked tape by USGS personnel.
REMARKS - Well is located in Middle Potomac aquifer of Cretaceous age.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 109.28 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 8, 2012; lowest measured, 202.72 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 16, 1992.
