LOCATION - Lat 33°01'52", long 90°59'56" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.31, T.14 N., R.8 W., Washington County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 08030209, (08030209), Choctaw Meridian, downstream of right (SW) bridge abutment over Steele Bayou at Hwy 436.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth undefined. Upper casing diameter undefined; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined. GW monitoring well Number 1 was drilled with a 2-inch PVC casing to a depth of 29.5 feet below land surface (LSD datum = 107.86).  Number 2, QW monitoring, well was drilled to a depth of 39.5 feet below land surface.  Bottom of Number 1, GW monitoring well, 1-foot screen is at 29.25 feet below land surface.  Bottom of Number 2, QW monitoring well, 5-foot screen is 39.25 feet below land surface.  Top of Number 1, GW monitoring, well casing is 2.00 feet above land surface.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 107.86 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Undefined, 2.00 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 11, 2015 to present. Measuring point (MP 1) is at top of 2-inch PVC well casing, 2.00 feet above land surface just downstream of gage platform.
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 01, 2014 to current (Jul 03, 2014 install to Sep 30, 2014 not published).
GAGE - A 3 by 3 by 2-foot Hoffman box fixed to a wooden platform about 3 feet above ground is located on right bank just downstream of 07288847, Steele Bayou near Glen Allen, Mississippi.  A KPSI submersible pressure transducer connects the gage to the well just downstream of the platform  Number 2 Water Quality monitoring well is capped, just downstream of Number 1 GW Level monitoring well.  A Design Analysis 522 plus DCP connected to a KPSI submersible pressure transducer set to a 15-minute scan interval is housed at the Hoffman gage house shelter/platform.  New KPSI submersible pressure transducer was installed on Sep 28, 2017.
COOPERATION - This well is maintained in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District (Funding lapsed in March of 2018) as part of the Lower Mississippi River Delta Alluvial GW/SW interaction project.
REMARKS - Oct 01, 2014 - current.  Groundwater level and temperature records are good.  Missing periods due to equipment malfunctions are not estimated or gap filled.
