LOCATION - Lat 25°29'19.75", long 80°23'40.45" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.12, T.57 S., R.39 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, on Homestead Air Force Base, 3.0 mi southeast of U.S. Highway 1.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 47 ft. Upper casing diameter 9 in; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 6.60 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: top of base, 6.09 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 15, 1961 to Oct. 4, 1962; top of base, 7.92 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 3, 1962 to Mar. 13, 1963; top of base, 8.17 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Mar. 12, 1963 to Jul. 24, 1992; top of base, 8.05 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1992 to Mar. 26, 2001; top of base, 8.06 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Mar. 26, 2001 to present. REMARKS - This well was also used for salinity monitoring from May 1965 to 2005. A tipping bucket rain gage was in operation from April 26, 2001, to April 2003. Records of water levels prior to October 1973 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Station was reconstructed October 3, 1962, March 12, 1963, March 10, 1993 and March 26, 2001.
