LOCATION - Lat 70°16'54", long 148°57'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.25, T.11 N., R.12 E., North Slope Borough, AK, Hydrologic Unit 19060401, (Beechey Point B-4 quad), on right bank, 1.8 mi northeast SE Eileen State No. 1, 2.1 mi south of Frontier Service City Camp, 10 mi upstream from mouth on Gwyder Bay, 3 miles upstream of Spine Road, and 13 mi northwest of Deadhorse.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,340 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Discharge for the periods Oct. 1, 1971 to May 31, 1972; Oct. 1, 1972 to May 30, 1973 and Oct. 1, 1973 to May 27, 1974 was deleted on Jan. 11, 2021.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 3.61 ft NAVD88.
REMARKS - Winter low flow may be discontinuous as the flow probably varies significantly along the main stem of the river due to the formation of aufeis in the vicinity of springs. Flow may cease at other points. GOES satellite telemetry at station.
