LOCATION - Lat 44°17'11.0", long 122°02'12.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.01, T.15 S., R.6 E., Linn County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17090004, Willamette National Forest, on right bank, 0.2 mi downstream from Payne Creek, and at mi 82.8.
DRAINAGE AREA - 160 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929 (Eugene Water & Electric Board bench mark).
REMARKS - Records given herein do not include flow in tunnel which diverts 4.8 mi upstream from station to Smith River Reservoir for power generation at Camen Power Plant; water returns to McKenzie River 0.2 mi downstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,010 ft³/s Apr. 19, 2019, gage height, 2,097.03 ft (backwater from debris); minimum discharge, 136 ft³/s Aug. 14, Aug. 16 to Sept. 8, 2021.
