LOCATION - Lat 38°26'49.0", long 107°33'18.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.05, T.48 N., R.6 W., Montrose County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14020002, near left bank on downstream side of Morrow Point Dam Road bridge, 1,500 ft downstream from Cimarron Creek, 0.3 mi north of Cimarron, and 0.8 mi upstream from the mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 230 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 6,864.84 ft above NAVD of 1988, from GNSS survey. Prior to September 19, 2022, elevation of gage was 6,879.83 ft above NGVD of 1929, from differential levels (U.S. Bureau of Reclamation benchmark). Prior to Oct. 21, 1943, chain gage on road bridge 150 ft downstream at different datum. Oct. 22, 1942 to Sept. 30, 1952, water-stage recorder at site on left bank 150 ft upstream from road bridge (present site), and 850 ft downstream from Cimarron Creek.
