LOCATION - Lat 29°25'21", long 89°57'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Plaquemines Parish, LA, Hydrologic Unit 08090301, on a two-tier wellhead platform approximately 10.7 miles NNE of Grand Isle Coast Guard Station.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Minimum recorded gage height for period of record has been revised to reflect the datum used prior to Oct. 1, 1995. Water years 1997 - 2010 were incorrectly published as NAVD 88.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1992 to current year.
GAGE - Noncontact water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0.39ft below NAVD88 (GEOID12B) EPOCH 2010.0000. Oct 1, 1995 to Feb 15, 1998 datum of gage was NAVD88. Feb 16, 1998 to Oct 16, 2012 datum of gage was 0.97ft below NAVD88 (GEOID03).
COOPERATION - Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority.
REMARKS - Stage affected by wind and tide. Satellite telemetry with wind speed and direction at station. Site destroyed by Hurricane Gert in Sept 1993. Site destroyed by storm Feb 1998. Site removed and refurbished by landowner in 2012.
