06023100 BEAVERHEAD RIVER AT TWIN BRIDGES, MT
LOCATION - Lat 45°32'48.80", long 112°20'17.20" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.27, T.3 S., R.6 W., Madison County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 10020002, on right bank 0.6 mi downstream from Montana Highway 41 bridge in Twin Bridges and at river mile 2,406.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 4,772 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2008 to current year, seasonal records only.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation at the site is 4,620 ft, referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
REMARKS - Some regulation occurs from Lima, Clark Canyon and Ruby River Reservoirs. Numerous diversions for irrigation occur upstream from station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, Jan. 5, 2011, 7.32 ft, present datum, from floodmarks, due to backwater from ice.
