LOCATION - Lat 41°35'25.5", long 94°09'04.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.02, T.78 N., R.29 W., Dallas County, IA, Hydrologic Unit 07100007, on left bank 20 ft upstream from bridge on H Avenue, 3.4 mi downstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 6, 2.0 mi east of Redfield, 3.4 mi downstream from Middle Raccoon River, 14.3 mi upstream from mouth, and 44.6 mi upstream from mouth of Raccoon River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 994 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1438: Drainage area. WSP 1508: 1940. WDR IA-87-1: Datum.
Revisions: Gage datum was updated to 888.59 ft NAVD88 on July 12, 2022, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Gage datum was previously published as 888.88 ft NGVD29 from levels.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 888.59 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to June 12, 1946, non-recording gage, and June 12, 1946, to September 30, 1986, water-stage recorder, both at site 2.4 mi upstream at datum 7.55 ft higher.
