Water-Year Summary for Site 03083500
As of October 2013, results from discrete water quality samples collected at this site are available through the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System web interface on the "Water Quality for the Nation" webpage. Analyses for pH, water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen were performed on site. Sample analyses were performed at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg, PA. Occasionally, values for filtered parameters may exceed values for the corresponding unfiltered parameter. These results are within the limits of analytical precision and methods.
Historically, water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius were not reported. Water temperature sensors now have the ability to accurately read water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.
Data reported by the monitor may not be representative of the entire river width. Cross-sectional water quality data is available upon request.
Data collection for dissolved oxygen suspended in winter months. Other interruptions in the record were due to excessive fouling and malfunctions in the equipment.
For water year 2014: Water temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen records are rated good. Specific conductance records are rated good, except for January 1 to 25 and April 23 to May 6, which are rated fair, and January 26 to March 28 and May 7 to 9, which are rated poor.
For water year 2015, records for water temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen are rated good. Records for specific conductance are rated good, except for April 27 to May 1, which are fair, and for May 2 to May 5, which are poor.
For water year 2016, records for water temperature are rated good, except for May 3-16 and June 18 to September 27, which are fair, and May 17 to June 17, which are poor. Records for specific conductance are rated good, except for May 4 to June11 and June 20 to September 27, which are fair, and February 2 to May 3, which are poor. Records for pH are rated good, except for February 2 to September 27, which are fair. Records for dissolved oxygen are rated fair.
