03039041 ALLEGHENY RIVER BELOW LOCK AND DAM 5 NEAR FREEPORT, PA
LOCATION - Lat 40°41'08", long 79°40'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Armstrong County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05010006, on right bank located 450 feet downstream from low head dam at Lock 5, 1,333 ft upstream of mouth with the Kiskiminetas River, and 5.17 miles downsteam of Allegheny Lock and Dam No. 6 and 0.4 miles east of State Route 128.
DRAINAGE AREA - 9,340 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: The datum of gage was erroneously reported as 740 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 prior to February 15, 2024.

Water stage recorder with reference staff gage. Datum of gage is 735.9 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.  Prior to February 15, 2024, the datum of gage was reported as 736.4 ft or erroneously reported as 740 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 depending on source.  Telemetry at site.
