023060013 HILLSBOROUGH RIVER AT I-275 BRIDGE AT SULPHUR SPIRNGS FL
LOCATION - Lat 28°01'12", long 82°27'18" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.25, T.28 S., R.18 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100205, (Sulphur Springs quadrangle), about 2.25 miles downstream from the Hillsborough River Dam and 1300 feet downstream from the Nebraska Ave. bridge. The gage is attached to a 2'X 2' concrete pier of the Interstate 275 north bridge, located 59 feet from the left edge of water.
DRAINAGE AREA - 637 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 2011 to March 2013 (maximum and minimum gage heights only), October 2014 to current year (maximum and minimum gage heights only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and 0.76 ft. below North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District and the City of Tampa.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 6.66 ft, Sept. 30, 2023, from high water mark; minimum, 3.38 ft below National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 2, 2018.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1999 to August 2004 (discontinued); June 2011 to September 2012 (temperature only); October 2012 to March 2013 (temperature and specific conductance), December 2014 to current year (temperature and specific conductance).
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District and the City of Tampa.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitors consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors located near the surface at 4.0 ft below gage datum and near the bottom at 6.5 ft below gage datum.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Top sensor maximum, 35,700 microsiemens, Jan. 04, 2001; bottom sensor maximum, 40,300 microsiemens, May 18, 2001; top sensor minimum, 170 microsiemens, Dec. 15, 2002; bottom sensor minimum, 177 microsiemens, December 24, 2002.
