02304510 HILLSBOROUGH RIVER AT ROWLETT PARK DRIVE NEAR TAMPA, FL.
LOCATION - Lat 28°01'15", long 82°26'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.30, T.28 S., R.19 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100205, near center of span on downstream side of bridge on Rowlett Park Drive, 0.5 mi downstream from control structure for Tampa Reservoir, 4.9 mi northeast of Tampa, and 9.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 625 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WRD FL 05-3A: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1960 to July 1994 (gage heights only); December 1996 to June 2003 (gage heights only); July 2003 to September 2008 (daily mean residual discharge); October 2008 to September 2010 (tidal high-high and low-low gage heights only); October 2010 to September 2012 (maximum and minimum gage heights only), discontinued. November 2018 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and velocity sensor. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and 0.78 ft below North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 7.52 ft Aug. 1, 2019; minimum, 2.33 ft below NGVD 29, Dec. 27, 2004.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1966 to October 1982; December 1996 to current year.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District and with the City of Tampa.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitors consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors. The top sensor is located 2.0 ft below National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and the bottom sensor is located 4.8 ft below NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - Top sensor comes out of water at times during extreme low tides.
