LOCATION - Lat 27°04'38", long 82°00'27" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.15, T.39 S., R.23 E., DeSoto County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, on RV campground fishing pier, 3.3 mi west of Fort Ogden, and 16.8 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,780 mi².

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, of 7.08 ft, from high-water mark in stilling-well after Hurricane Irma, occurred Sept. 15, 2017; minimum, 2.68 ft below NGVD, Jan. 3, 2008.
