Click to hide Water-Year Summary instructions and information
  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: August 2001 to current year.
GAGE-HEIGHT: August 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 719.78 feet above NAVD88.
COOPERATION - Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 16,500 cfs, September 22, 2009; maximum gage height, 27.47 ft, from floodmarks, September 22, 2009; minimum daily discharge, 19 cfs, August 22, 2008.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2001 to current year.

PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: August 2001 to current year.
WATER TEMPERATURE: August 2001 to current year.
TURBIDITY: August 2001 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Satellite telemetry with a continuous water-quality monitor and an automatic refrigerated sampler.
REMARKS -

For period: 10/01/2018-09/30/2019: Continuous water temperature and specific conductance records are good. Turbidity record is fair.

Data for parameter code 63680 (turbidity) were collected using a probe with the following specifications: turbidity, water, monochrome near infra-red LED light, 780-900 nm, detection angle 90 +/-2.5 degrees, FNU (Formazin Nephelometric Units). Prior to October 1, 2004, turbidity data were published using parameter code 00076: turbidity, water, unfiltered, NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units). Hydrologic event code of 9 indicates a routine sample while J designates a storm event sample. Laboratory chemical analyses are by RTI Laboratories, Livonia, MI and Test America Laboratory, Denver, CO. Laboratory sediment analyses are by the U.S. Geological Survey, Kentucky Sediment Laboratory. Field determinations of discharge, specific conductance, pH, water temperature, turbidity, barometric pressure and dissolved oxygen are by the U.S. Geological Survey.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -
