02171905 SOUTH SANTEE RIVER AT STATE PIER NEAR McCLELLANVILLE, SC
LOCATION - Lat 33°09'15", long 79°21'16" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Charleston County, SC, Hydrologic Unit 03050112, near right bank in Santee Coastal Reserve, 0.8 mi upstream from Pleasant Creek, 2.1 mi upstream of Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, 8.2 mi northeast of McClellanville, and at mile 7.2.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-SC-2004-1: Gage datum.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1987 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 21.38 ft below NAVD of 1988. Prior to Mar. 4, 1987 at site 2.1 mi downstream, at same datum.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 26.53 ft, Oct. 8, 2016 from CSG reading, but may have been higher during periods of missing gage height record Sep. 21-22, 1989; minimum gage height, 15.13 ft, Jun. 10, 1987. Gage height affected by tide and regulation from Lake Marion (see sta 02171000) and rediversion from St. Stephens powerplant (see sta. 02171645).

For the 2014 water year, specific conductance records rated good except for May 16-19, which are fair, and Oct. 1-7, July 6-31, Aug. 30 to Sep. 18, which are poor. For the 2014 water year, temperature records are rated excellent. For the 2015 water year, specific conductance records rated good except for Jul. 9-Jul. 15, which are poor. For the 2015 water year, temperature records are rated good. For the 2016 water year, specific conductance records rated good except for Jan. 27-Mar. 2, May 23-Jun. 17, Jul. 6-Jul. 26, Aug. 12- Aug. 26, which are rated fair. Apr. 11-May 3 are rated poor. For the 2016 water year, temperature records are rated good.
