0212378405 PEE DEE RIVER AT NC HIGHWAY 731 BELOW LAKE TILLERY NEAR NORWOOD, NC

LOCATION - Lat 35°12'02.4", long 80°03'42.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Stanly County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03040104, left upstream side of bridge on NC Highway 731, 2,400 ft below Lake Tillery Dam and 3.7 mi southeast of Norwood.

DRAINAGE AREA - 4,694 mi².

REVISIONS HISTORY - The datum was revised because the original NAVD88 datum was found to be in error by the Level II GNSS survey that was performed by USGS personnel on November 18, 2021.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - March 2009 to current year.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder and InSitu Aqua Troll 600 water quality probe. Datum of gage is 197.94 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Satellite telemetry at streamgage.

REMARKS -

Stage only prior to October 1, 2013.

Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-nc_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
