STATION.--394655080014301 GREENE COUNTY, local well number GR 118
LOCATION.--Lat 39`46'55.7", long 80`01'42.7", Hydrologic Unit 05020005, at State Game Land Number 223.
OWNER.--U.S. Geological Survey.
AQUIFER.--Shale and sandstone of lower member of Waynesburg Formation of Late Pennsylvanian and Early Permian age.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Drilled observation well, diameter 6 in., depth 104 ft, cased to 22 ft, open hole.
INSTRUMENTATION.--Data collection platform with 60-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
DATUM.--Elevation of land surface is 1,006 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988, from Lidar. Measuring point: Top of casing, 1.40 ft above land-surface datum.
REMARKS.--Water level in well is affected by escaping air bubbles that cause level to be unsteady. Daily maximum, minimum, and mean water levels are available from the District Office.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1973 to current year.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
This station managed by the PAWSC Pittsburgh Field Office.
