LOCATION.--Lat 42°37'43", long
78°07'08" referenced to North American Datum of 1927,
Wyoming County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04130002, on Letchworth
Central School property, on County Road 40, 0.1 mi south of
School Road, and 1.0 mi southeast of Gainesville.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 20.3 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 20 ft, bottom of last opening 20 ft. Cased to 20 ft, open end. Elevation of land-surface datum is 1,606.76 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 1,606.36 ft above NAVD of 1988.
DATUM.--Land-surface datum is 1,606.36 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of casing, 2.62 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 3, 2016 to present; Top of flange, 2.63 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 3, 2016 to present; Top of shelter shelf, 2.65 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 3, 2016 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1974 to current year. Records for May 1974 to September 1976 are unpublished and available in files of the Geological Survey.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WDR NY-91-3: 1990.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder--15 minute; periodic measurements by USGS personnel.
REMARKS.--Well drilled May 1974 as a replacement for 423743078070801 (local number Wo-2), located 25 ft southeast, which had a period of record from November 1965 to May 1974 (unpublished). Water level may be affected by periodic water-quality sampling by county health department. Satellite water-level telemeter at station.
