LOCATION.--Lat 42°22'41", long
73°27'46" referenced to North American Datum of 1983,
Columbia County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02020006, at Canaan.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 360 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 60 ft, bottom of last opening 90 ft. Cased to 35 ft, open hole.
DATUM.--Land-surface datum is 903.31 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of flange welded to casing, 2.93 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 29, 2004 to present; Top of shelter shelf, 2.95 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 27, 2014 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--February 2004 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder--15 minute; periodic manual measurements by USGS personnel.
REMARKS.--Satellite water-level telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level, 7.47 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 8, 2011; lowest water level, 13.56 ft below land-surface datum, Oct. 20, 21, 2017.
