Station gage imageSTATION.--01473000 PERKIOMEN CREEK AT GRATERFORD, PA
LOCATION.--Lat 40`13'46", long 75`27'07", Montgomery County, Hydrologic Unit 02040203, on left bank 1,650 ft upstream from highway bridge at Graterford, 0.5 mi upstream from Lodel Creek, and 2.5 mi north of Collegeville.
DRAINAGE AREA.--279 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1914 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1302. Prior to October 1950, published as "at Graters Ford."
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, water-quality monitor, and heated tipping bucket precipitation gage. Datum of gage is 112.66 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. June 1914, to Sept. 6, 1921, non-recording gage at site 1,650 ft downstream at datum 3.29 ft lower. Sept. 7, 1921, to Sept. 13, 1927, non-recording gage at present site and datum. Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS.--regulations from Green Lane Reservoir since December 1956 and from the Bradshaw Distributary since October 1994. Unknown amounts from pumpage to the Limerick power plant on the Schuylkill River.
The 15-minute precipitation data for this station are temporary and will only be displayed for 120 days. Time series of 1-hour or cumulative daily values will NOT be available for retrieval following the 120-day display period. Although the instrumentation is calibrated at least once a year, the temporary classification means that documented routine inspections and other quality assurance measures are not performed that would make the data acceptable for archival, retrieval, or future use in general scientific or interpretive studies.

Supplied by NWS: Action stage-9 ft, at 8 ft, Park Avenue in Swenksville is flooded; 9 ft-Flash Flood Alarm sounds at the County EOC; Flood stage-11 ft, at 10 ft, first evacuations begin in Swenksville upstream of gage; Moderate flood stage-13 ft, Sewage treatment plant in Swenksville flooded; Major flood stage-16 ft, at 13.5 ft, houses on left bank in Graterford flood.
